Medicine Cabinet Configurations

Internally Lighted Medicine Cabinets

Lighting for the storage space inside a mirror cabinet. Define how the shelves are illuminated, how the light is activated and whether separate mirror-face lighting is also required.

Storage lighting and face lighting do different jobs

Internal lighting helps illuminate the cabinet contents when accessing the shelves. It is not a substitute for illumination at the face of the mirror. If both are needed, describe them as separate requirements so the proposed configuration and quotation cover each function.

Agree controls and shelf visibility

Discuss whether the internal light should respond to door opening or use a separate control, subject to configuration review. Specify whether the exterior and interior lights need independent operation. Review the proposed light placement with the shelf arrangement and typical stored items; an empty cabinet image cannot show every obstruction.

Plan electrical access and maintenance

Ask for the proposed cable-entry position, driver location and service-access arrangement. Include the destination market and supply requirements in the inquiry. Available components, test documentation and installation requirements need confirmation for the selected configuration rather than being inferred from another cabinet.
